Frank Parkhouse - Cathy presented Frank with his Club Administration  Director’s pin for 2013-2014

Art Wing
- recipient of the RI Service Above Self award for outstanding exemplary humanitarian service with an emphasis on volunteer efforts and active involvement through Rotary- only 150 of these  awards are granted world wide each year so it it wonderful to see that one of our DownTown  Rotarians has been so recognized.A congratulatory letter was sent to him on our club’s behalf. 

Bingo
- John Teibert needs one more member for Friday night - although it is understood that it is Ribfest and most members will be at the corn booth. Next Bingo is August 17th. John will be away and needs someone to run the bingo that night.

RibFest-August 2nd - 5thMike Gionet - 18 spaces still need to be filled- please call Mike if you can help. A discussion was held about the cost of the corn- the membership feels that it should be sold for $3.00 each or 2 for $5.00. Motion by Shafee, seconded by Frank - to increase the cost per ear  as discussed above. Approved. All members to wear their club t-shirts if possible and a hat - if handling the corn and butter. 

Garage Sale
- Lynn BeaudrySeptember 14th, 2013--- Ina Grafton- please start cleaning out your basements. 

ADG/Club Presidents Meeting 
- There will be a meeting of the three city Club presidents and our ADG - Chris Blake - on August 6th to discuss how we can all work and support each other with our various projects 

Paul Harris Awards Luncheon 
- November 25th - Golf Club Rob Welch has agreed to MC this event  

Weekly Golf Club menu: 
- Discussion of raising luncheon costs $1.00 per person to make it similar to the Rotary Downtown Club. It appears that the consensus is that we do not raise the fee but try to stress quality over quantity.

2013 District Assembly
- being organized and run by our youth - Ryla, Slapshot etc. October 25th- 27th - Marriott Hotel, Niagara Falls 

There will be no meeting next week due to the long week-end

Frank will be contacting people to assist at the weekly registration table

Speaker – Cathy Henry Report on the Lisbon RI Conference

Cathy gave a complete report on her experience at Lisbon- She stressed the fellowship and networking that was constant more than the logistics. Although there were some problems- over all it was a tremendous experience and she thanked the club for giving her the chance to go. 


Thanking Our Speaker Paul Monaghan thanked Cathy for representing our club so well- obviously learned a lot and has expanded our club’s reputation with  her “gift of the gab”.
