Dear Residents of Niagara,

My name is Cathy Henry, and as the Chairman of "Because We Care - the campaign for the Niagara Ronald McDonald House Charities Family Room," I am reaching out with a story that is not just ours, but one that could belong to anyone in times of need. This campaign aims to bring the warmth and support of our community to those who need it most. 

Our Mission

Our mission is simple yet profound: to create a sanctuary at the St. Catharines Marotta Family Hospital where families facing medical challenges can find comfort, hope, and respite. The development of the Family Room is made possible through generous funding support from McDonald’s Canada, together with its independent franchisees and guests RMH Canada and RMH Global. However, there is still a significant financial gap that Ronald McDonald House Charities South Central Ontario needs to meet to bring this beautiful idea to fruition.

Why Your Support Matters

Every day, families at the St. Catharines Marotta Family Hospital navigate their most challenging moments, often feeling overwhelmed and alone. The Niagara Ronald McDonald House Charities Family Room will be a place where they can find peace, strength, and community. The new Family Room, located on the fourth floor outside the Children’s Health Unit, will serve as a comforting 'home away from home' for families with children undergoing hospital care. Featuring respite areas, laundry facilities, no-cost nutritional food services, and family programming, it’s designed to provide a sanctuary of support.

Tax receipts will be issued for donations/sponsorships by The Rotary Club of St. Catharines South.
