The Ronald McDonald Foundation of Niagara, The Rotary Club of St. Catharines South and The May Court Club of St. Catharines are working together on a fundraising initiative to fund and maintain the exciting and essential installation of a Ronald McDonald Lounge on the 4th floor of the Marotta Family Hospital.

The lounge, under construction by Silvergate Homes, will cover 1,000 square feet of the 4th floor of the hospital providing a safe and nurturing landing pad for families/friends coping with the very worst and challenging times of their lives. The benefits, while focussed on children and families will significantly impact the Niagara Region.

An information session has been planned: 

TIME: Saturday, April 6th, 2024, from 2 pm until 3:30 pm 

PLACE: Bethany Community Church, at 1388 Third Street in St. Catharines. 

We have organized a presentation by Mario Dedivitiis from Ronald McDonald House Niagara to inform us about the details of their plans. We would like to discuss the possibility of any support or involvement you might be able to offer to assist with fundraising, promoting and supporting an event, currently under development, scheduled for October 5th, 2024, at Club Roma in St. Catharines. 

We are estimating 250 plus guests. 

We look forward to working with your Club. Please, join us in making this lounge a reality for the children and families who need comfort, caring and knowledge that Niagara is supporting them in their moment of need.

This week we will have Ted Salci Coming to speak with our club for lunch.

Raymond Theodore (Ted) Salci is a passionate community leader with over 50 years
of business experience, municipal leadership and public service. Ted is highly
motivated and has exceptional decision making skills with a strong background in
economic and infrastructure development and a commitment to customer service.
Trained in adjudication but a strong believer in the art of the possible, Ted has
demonstrated his commitment to his community through his loyal service to the
City of Niagara Falls, the Regional Municipality of Niagara, the Province of Ontario
and the Government of Canada.

Our club is seeking to sell 100 tickets

This will be our typical lunch meeting in which our very own Saban will be presenting on the Bosnian Project.

We request all International Service Committee members and Rotary Club members to help make the evening of June 18 a success by sharing the above link with as many Niagara region residents as possible through WhatsApp, Facebook, text, or email. Donations can be made on link, tax receipts will be issued.

This event will be an inspiring evening with Dr. Yousaf Haj-Ahmad, where you will hear about his remarkable journey in business and philanthropy. Enjoy a variety of Pakistani dishes, pizza for those with different preferences, and an assortment of beverages including soft drinks, coffee, and tea. Your contribution, regardless of the amount, will significantly support our international projects and make a positive impact.
