The Southmouth is back!

In order to increase communication within our club we have brought back the Southmouth in its reincarnation as the Southmouth 2.0.

We are a small but very active club so there are a lot of stories to tell.

Members from your club have taken the time to gather and write stories so that they can share them with you.

Please click on "read more" to read more about each of the stories and feel free to comment and interact with the story. Your feedback is valuable to us and together we can make the best out of your Rotary experience. Please note that you will need to be logged in to Club Runner in order to comment on an article. Comments can be found at the end of the article. To login to your account please click on the login button found on the top right hand corner of the article page.

As in the past, our goal is to make the Southmouth a go to publication where you can read about what the club is doing and increase communication. Better yet, be part of the activities by joining a committee.

Our meeting schedule has change a bit. In order to adapt to the ever changing needs of the club we have moved the regular meetings to Tuesdays and change one of the meetings to be a social event. We hope that this will encourage better meeting attendance and member engagement.

We also need your help for the corn booth coming up soon. So if you haven't signed up please do so.

Our next club meeting will be next Tuesday July 26th at Noon. We will be introducing the board of directors and we have as special guest our ADG Tommy Wegge. Please join us and take part of the celebration.

Did you know that there is a club directory with all the club members email addresses and information? This is only available to club members and it can be accessed by viewing the club directory in club runner.

Have you made sure that the information in club runner is correct?

On the right hand side you will see a list of your board. You can click on each board members name if you wish to communicate with them.

We are here for you to make your Rotary Club experience a productive and enjoyable one. So please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Hope to see you at the next club meeting.

Yours in Rotary,

Julio Batres-Gavidia
Club President - 2022-2023

Special Message from RIP Jennifer Jones Regarding July 5th Events
As some of you may remember, on our July 5th meeting, our new Rotary International President Jennifer Jones was supposed to conduct a special online address to all clubs during her Toronto and Area stop of her Imagine Rotary Canada Tour. Unfortunately, due to a death in her family some of her appearances for the day had to be cancelled. So on the last leg of her tour she prepared a special message for all Rotarians in Toronto and Area that were expecting to meet her or hear her address.

Hi everyone,

EUREKA!!!!!

Just as an FYI - Our trees for Abaco are ready to be delivered by August 5th- they have grown well and can now tolerate the transport. Rotary Nassau and Abaco are now being contacted to supply the bags/dirt to transfer into a growing medium where they will remain to acclimatize before permanent planting.
