We’ll also be discussing our By laws and Constituion changes that have been directed from RI- thank you to John Teibert and Frank Parkhouse for putting this together. As per our by laws- all changes will be forwarded, by Club Runner, to each member ten days before the meeting to read and have for discussion and vote on the 24th. The article from The Rotary
As you may have heard- 11 Pakistani tribal police were killed while protecting the Polio Immunization teams in North Pakistan- it is imperative that the global family continue to support this program until we are truly polio free. Please remember that Polio Piggy is still here- we will be handing over a cheque from the three clubs to RI for additional support of the Polio Plus program at our joint meeting on April 7th.
Bingo-John Teibert- Thank you to the last week’s volunteers and we are looking for more volunteers for our next bingo on March 14th. Join in the fun!
Explore Niagara- MIke Gionet- Najeeb has generously become the major sponsor at the car rally. We are still looking for more sponsors, like a city sponsor. The rally will depart and arrive at the golf club. Volunteers are needed for set up and tear down that day so if you know any students who need their hours this would be a fun event for them to get involved.
Next Monday’s speaker, back by popular request, will be Bill Boehlen-Professor of Broadcasting at Niagara College who will be showing the complete video of the South African documentary- let’s all attend to show him the support that is due to this wonderful program
Board meeting- Next Monday- March 10th at my house 4: 30 PM
There is a joint 3 club President’s meeting on Wednesday, March 12th at 8 AM
The joint clubs luncheon is on Monday, April 7th at Johnny Rocco’s. As our club is hosting it this year please plan to attend and show your club support for this very interesting event. The menu is superb- the speaker- tremendous and 4 of our club members will be receiving awards from the District Governor - the new Head, Hands and Heart Award. This award recognizes individuals who have served locally or at District level on committees, boards or as chairs and Directors. They have also been involved in programs that make a difference to the lives of people in the community and the world at large. They are considered leaders and participants in significant activities at the club and district level.
The article for The Rotarian is being fine tuned- thank you to Laura and Jean for continuing to draft it for submission.
