It is with great pleasure that we announce, for the second time, two new members to our club-Mrs. Sandra Rothman and Dr. David Henry
In accordance with our by-laws- their names will be published three times.
The Rotary Club of Lakeshore has very generously donated $1,000.00 towards our Trees That Feed Project.This will purchase 200 trees through TTFF and the Rotary Club of Ocho Rios. They have all been notified of this donation.
The Rotary Club of Lakeshore has requested that we join them for their annual Trivia night on Saturday, February 15th. The flyers are on each table- Let’s try and get a South table together to support them in all their programs- such as they have helped us.
Big Brothers/Big Sisters Bowlathon - Laura
City Club President’s meeting last Thursday- discussions were held about the joint luncheon on April 7th, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library Foundation,
Club dues, joint additional polio plus donations and various district Governor awards. It was decided that we would all contribute an additional large donation to Polio Plus and present it to either Art Wing or Karen Oakes who will be attending the luncheon. Arie has very generously offered to apply for Snap to attend for an article to showcase Rotary’s commitment to this world wide campaign and to celebrate our city clubs commitment to community and world .
Congratulations to Najeeb for a very successful trip to Pakistan in promoting the breadfruit trees.
Bingo- John Teibert – Looking for more volunteers for Bingo for both February 1st and 14th.

The Rotary Club of Winnipeg Downtown is celebrating it’s 104th birthday this week- as we all know- it is the first club founded outside of America - thus allowing Rotary to add the word International behind it’s name.
