Introduction of Guest Speaker: Our guest speaker is today was Ian Forbes. Ian
spoke to us about this year’s ride and the plans for it.
The ride is to take place July 8 to
14.
The goal is to have 25 riders for
around the lake, 25 one day riders for the first day and 25 one day riders for
the last day. The cost of registration for one day riders is $100.00, the cost
of registration for the week long riders is $300. The goal for the one day
riders is to raise pledges of $300, and the goal for the week long riders is to
raise pledges of $1,000.
In addition to riders, there are
sponsorship opportunities ranging from $250 to $5,000.
Additional information on the ride,
including the itinerary can be found at www.rotarytourdulac.ca.
What Ian wants from our club – if
you can ride, or know someone that can ride, please let Ian know; if you can
sponsor or know of someone who can sponsor, let Ian or Barry Millward know and
they can tell you what spots on the jersey are available; and finally spread
the news to raise pledges, give Ian contact information, email addresses, etc
so that we can raise pledges. Obtaining pledges from outside of our club is how
this event will be a success.
