SERGEANT-AT-ARMS

Doug Foss, serving as Sergeant-at-Arms,   

Dan Toppari - was fined for his new attire at the Ellicottville's 4th Annual Ski Day; 
Doug Foss - fined Laetitia de Witt and Bob McKay. They were dressed to ski but no one saw them skiing;
Cathy Henry - said there is 100 degree difference in temperature between Jamaica and Canada;

Paul Massuet - MiMi is feeling good and they will be leaving for Mexico and is looking forward to seeing some other Rotarians;
Ron Kozub's - Son Scott  who recently graduated is now working at Walkers and thank Don Hetherington for his help;

Ian  Forbes  Son is now employed and Ian's Father celebrated his 90th birthday and his mother was well enough get a day pass to attend;
John Klassen - was wise enough to say yes Dear to his lovely wife so he will be golfing  but has no idea where;
Jim Hooper - is looking forward to visiting Mexico;                                       
Matt Taylor - is delighted Georgette is coming home to take care of the family;

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Blasdale/South Shore N.Y. -   April 24th, 31 ^st  a nnual visit this is one of our oldest club tradition.  Please plan to attend at the Blasdale club this year.

Hospice Niagara Thank You Letter - Laetitia de Witt read the letter from Hedi Wilson thanking the Rotary Club of St. Catharines South for the opportunity to attend the meeting and the invitation to address the membership. Hedi was grateful for the support of the membership and accepted a cheque for $25,465.20 which represents the net proceeds from 2006 Winter Dreams sixth Gala.

Niagara Life Centre Thank You Letter - Elizabth Spaan announced children were recipients of educational books this past Christmas through the "Gift of reading" program. The Rotary Club of St. Catharines South membership was thanked for making that possible by our donation to the Canadian Federation of University Women.

Breakfast Program at St. George's Church Thank You Letter - Ron Kozub announced in 2006 25,000 breakfasts were served our donation will be used to purchase those items not usually donated such as milk margarine etc.

Rotary Club Ocho Rico Jamaica - Cathy Henry  received a banner and an invitation was given to all members of St. Catharines to visit their club. Cathy also enjoyed meeting 40 other Rotarians visiting from Kansas City .

AMBASADORIAL Scholarships $23,000.00 U.S.   - Application due April 1^st 2007 . Don Hetherington has submitted Rachel Lepage a student attending the University of Ottawa she is able to  speak Spanish, Italian, French and German. Please contact Andre Bowles for more details and application.

Diamond Gala meeting:  Jean Holbert-Leighton announced 300 tickets need to be sold and we need donations for the auction, Letters asking for a donation will go out today. Please invite your friends. Our club's major fundraiser of the year needs volunteers register online on the website Friday morning meetings contact Julio Batres.

BIRTHDAYS

Matt Taylor announced two birthdays: Andrew Bowles and Elizabeth Spaan . Happy Birthday was sung and best wishes extended to Andrew & Elizabeth    

50/50 DRAW

Brian Radford had the winning ticket, but was unlucky in drawing 7 of hearts. There is $300 in the pot.
