John Teibert introduced five guests: Ruthann Brown, Executive Director, Women's Place of South Niagara; Kitty Cairns, from the Canadian Federation of University Women Gift of Reading Program; Jim Hooper, agent for State Farm Insurance, guest of Dan Toppari; Sandra Wilkes, Executive Director of the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation; and Peter Snodgrass, Diagnostic Radiologist, CML Imaging.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
President Bob McKay announced the following:
Our next Bingo session is October 8th, 2005.
The Eastern Cities Dinner with RI President Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammar will be held at the Riverside Convention Centre in Rochester. Cost is $42. Ron Kozub distributed an email on September 24th from Penelope Hutton concerning this event.
The President's Christmas Party will be held Friday, December 9th, 2005 at the Port Dalhousie Yacht Club.
Other Announcements:
John Chotka advised that the Buffalo Bills versus the New York Jets Game on October 16, 2005 has been sold out. Those individuals who are going to the game are to meet at 10:30 at the Tim Horton's/Sunoco Gas Station on the North side of the QEW at Glendale Avenue exit, which is across from the White Oaks Tennis and Conference Centre.

Brian Radford introduced Ms Ruthann Brown, Executive Director of Women's Place of South Niagara as the guest speaker. Originally from Toronto, Ms Brown has been a resident of Niagara for 26 years. And, prior to her current post, was Executive Director of the March of Dimes for a number of years. See related story for photo and details.
