Support My Efforts
On Sunday September 11th, for the first time, I am participating in the 2022 Big Move Cancer Ride to raise money for the Walker Family Cancer Centre. The Walker Centre is the centre where I received chemotherapy that has my leukemia in remission for the last 8 years. In addition, its the centre where I had surgery, radiation and immunotherapy during the covid pandemic for stage 2/3 melanoma. In short, it is why I am still here and able to ride and raise funds for other patients to come in the future. Please sponsor me and help me reach my fundraising goal. Together, with your support, we can all make a difference in local cancer care and the lives of our local residents who will have to face this disease until we find the cures.
I am riding 50 km with my partner Elaine and a longstanding team of local residents “Niagara Clean and Healthy” which has participated in every ride since 2008 and has to date raised over $210,500.00 for cancer care. The fun part is 1/3 of the way in with a short hill that maxes out at 18% grade.
