Debi Wiebe joined The Standard in 1996 as community relations and promotions director. She immediately set out to better connect The Standard with the myriad groups, charities, and non-profit organizations serving the community both locally and regionally.
With her warm, outgoing personality, Debi soon became a well-known ambassador for The Standard and a community booster. The Standard is involved with more than 200 events a year, and Debi plays a role in all of them. She excels at promotion and marketing and offers her expertise to help community groups get the most out of their fundraisers. She also participates as an organizer, an Emcee and even an auctioneer at dozens of charity events annually, many of them on her own time. She says she receives more than she gives, and that philosophy is woven through all her work.
