Norris Brown reported that guests included Mr. Niels Pedersen from PerformanceLexus-Toyota and Mr. Jim Clouse.

Doug Foss, our Sergeant-at-Arms, noted the following Happy Dollars:

Doug, for his fish story;
John Teibert, for being home from holidays;
Paul Massuet, for John Tiebert providing receipts for the Bike Trek;
John Klassen, for his son moving out;
Ian Forbes, for a great holiday;
Ron Kozub, for the Rib Fest.

There is a Directors Meeting on August 19th, commencing at 7:30 p.m.

 

Rib Fest 2005:

Ron Kozub advised that a full report on Rib Fest will be given at the next meeting.  

Dinner Dance for Niagara Peninsula Children's Centre:
Jim Shannon advised that Niagara Peninsula Children's Centre is hosting a Dinner Dance. Tickets are $100. a couple. Call or email Jim for details or contact the Niagara Peninsula Children's Centre.  

 

Upcoming Club Meetings:
August 15th, Matt and Georgette Taylor present on Dental Volunteer Month

Matt and Georgette Taylor will give a presentation on their Dental Volunteer month (April-May 2005) in Mulege, B.S.C., Mexico.

 

August 22nd, Mike Snodden to present on his year in Denmark

Last year's outgoing exchange student, Mike Snodden, will give a presentation on his year in Denmark.

 

August 29th, Dominic Ventresca to present on senior homes in Niagara

Dominic Ventresca, coordinator of seniors homes in Niagara, will give a presentation on our aging population, and the care and availability of accommodation for seniors in our region. Meeting is open to spouses and parents of members who may be interested in this topic.

Greg McDonald reported that another bingo will be held on Saturday, August 12th. One or two volunteers are needed. Please contact Greg.

In her presentation, supported by Power Point, Roseanne revealed who she was in terms of the following: the decade she was born in, her family background, her education, her interests, her volunteerism, her personality and philosophy, her work history, her aspirations, and what she hopes to bring to Rotary.
