SERGEANT-AT-ARMS
Doug Foss, serving as Sergeant-at-Arms, gave the following fines to:
Matt Taylor... for allowing Mike to bring only the censored pictures from his year of exchange.
Jim Howes... for making the pens run dry at the Hospitality desk.
Doug Foss, serving as Sergeant-at-Arms, noted the following Happy Dollars from:
Liz Palmieri... who is happy to do a make-up at our club and is grateful for the donation our club made to the Niagara Community Foundation.
Ian Forbes... many years ago Ian was invited to play at a prestigious Golf tournament - that was the day his daughter decided to be born. Next year, Ian has been invited to play in another very prestigious tournament - this is the day his daughter has decided to get married.
Doug Foss... his very bright daughter conned him into cleaning her room. Doug is looking for parenting advice.
John Klassen... who advised Doug that it does get better - his son left the kitchen spotless after entertaining his girl friend.
Keith Shaver... for John's naivety - they weren't cooking, John!
Don Hetherington... the United way Golf Tournament raised $29,000.
Jim Howes... his son starts a teaching job in BC.
Other happy dollars came from Bob McKay, George Fitzpatrick and Laetitia de Witt.
DIRECTOR REPORT
One of President Bob's initiatives this year is to have a Club Director give a report each Monday to tell us what is happening in their portfolio. It was Don Hetherington's turn this week.
Don Hetherington is the Director of Club Services. His directorship includes the bulletin, club history, hospitality, interclub, music, program, Sergeant-at Arms, social, as well as sick and visiting. He explained a little about each activity and thanked those who agreed to chair each area and those who agreed to volunteer to help out. If any member is interested in volunteering in any of these areas, please see Don or the chair of the respective committee.
50/50 DRAW
President Bob presented Keith with his cheque for $150 (he won back in June). Don Beard was unlucky this time around and drew the six of spades.
BIRTHDAYS
We did a horrible job of singing Happy Birthday to Laetitia and Dan - maybe we need a new chair of our music committee! Hope Laetitia and Dan's year is better than we sang!
